Today we’re featuring the last of the Vevo exclusive series Watch This with The Killers, where they break down the video for their 2017 single “The Man” from their fifth album, Wonderful Wonderful. Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci walk us through some interesting factoids about the video and song including its example of Las Vegas pride and hospitality (including a cameo from the former mayor), the wardrobe by illustrious cowboy fashion designers, and the deconstruction of modern views of masculinity. Additionally Flowers and Vannucci give us insight into the influence of Peter Gabriel and the origins of the disco infused synth pop sound.
If you enjoyed the video above be sure to watch their previous entries discussing the videos for “Mr. Brightside”, “When You Were Young”, and “Bones”.
