This week for movie trailers we’ve got The Dilemma, a second trailer for Due Date, The Fighter, and Unstoppable, whereas for gaming we’ve got videos for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, The Last Guardian, and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
The Dilemma Trailer – A film about one of the trickiest questions ever: whether or not to tell a best friend if their significant other is cheating on them. Something tells me that it is going to be a much more entertaining experience when Vince Vaughn and Kevin James are involved.
Due Date Trailer #2 – Here’s some more footage from the upcoming cross country road trip film with Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galianfinakis.
The Fighter Trailer – Usually when I see a film inspired by some sort of inspirational true sports story I tend to lose interest because they all seem to be the same (an unfair assumption at times), but in all honesty I can say that this trailer does a really great job of thwarting my usual response. The different shooting styles between the normal stuff vs. the ring scenes will be interesting to see how it plays out in the film, and who can resist Mark Wahlberg without his shirt on? Well, probably a lot of you, but still…
Unstoppable Trailer – Who knows if they are going to be able to make a movie about a runaway train exciting and dynamic, but with the cast including Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, and Rosario Dawson I am more than willing to give it a chance. Then again, I guess they did it will a runaway bus in Speed (granted I never saw it, but still).
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Trailer – (360/PS3/PC) – There isn’t a whole lot new in this trailer, but the editing is pretty cool and we get to see that between the last game and now Ezio has apparently become an expert javelin thrower, archer (well, crossbow user, but still), and curb stomper. Do I smell an Olympic appearance coming on? Yeah, me neither. Preorder Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood at Amazon now to get $10 towards your next game purchase and exclusive armor.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow TGS 2010 Trailer – (360/PS3) – What, 7.5 minutes of reading a subtitled trailer? Well man up and go for it, but if words are too intimidating then just look at the pretty pretty images. We get to see a ton of characters and story elements for this upcoming game from a trailer that basically smacks you in the face for not preordering the game yet. Which you should from Amazon if you are thinking about it because you will get 20 bucks back towards your next video game purchase. Click the link Castlevania: Lords of Shadow to do so!
Deus Ex: Human Revolution TGS 2010 Trailer – (360/PS3/PC) – Seriously, someone get Batman a throat lozenge. So far we are still just getting a lot of cinematics and no gameplay, but at least we are getting to see brief glimpses into the story. And lets face it, it is looking pretty. Let’s just hope that the gameplay can compete with the cutscenes.
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Environmental Trailer – (360/PS3) – Take a look at the world you will be playing through in Enslaved, which is described as a post-post-apocalyptic world where nature has begun to overrun the world once more without the resistance of man. Preorder Enslaved: Odyssey to the West at Amazon now to get $10 towards your next video game purchase and the downloadable soundtrack for free.
The Last Guardian TGS 2010 Trailer – (PS3 exclusive) – Okay, at this point I still don’t think that anyone knows what the heck this game is going to be about other than the friendship of a little boy and this giant beast, especially gameplay wise, but I guess we can still be pleased that they are willing to pass along a new trailer that shows more of the environment and the adorable creature. Granted… they might have shown too much because I swear at one point it was pooping…
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Trailer – (360/PS3/PC/Wii) – Here’s the newest trailer for this game (EEEEE! That’s right, girly squeals are required to fully express my excitement for this franchise going back to its roots) exploring the different ways to take down a car you are pursuing when playing as a cop. Just make sure not to run over the spike strip you called in for a helicopter to drop. The shame face brought on by that would be truly heartbreaking… Unless you choose the stream of expletives instead. Then that might actually be pretty funny. Preorder Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit at Amazon now.
