After a phenomenal reboot and a stellar follow-up, id Software has taken the Doom series back in time with Doom: The Dark Ages. The prequel follows the demon destroying Doom Slayer in a setting that blends the franchise’s guns and sci-fi staples with a medieval fantasy aesthetic. I’m about a fifth of the way through the campaign and it’s been a total blast with it so far. The video of below is just from the first level, and it only gets more wild from there.
