I don’t know what was going on this week because usually there isn’t too much that catches my eye, but I was overwhelmed with things to be excited about this week. Maybe it is just because I had a lot more free time on my hands…
Movies:
The Greatest Trailer – Looks to be a touching movie following a family after they lose their son to a car accident and then are introduced to the girl that he got pregnant right before his death (wow, that was a really bad right up. Just watch the trailer!) Check it out here.
The Predators Trailer – The only stuff I have seen involving the predators involves them being vs. aliens, so I say the series can only go up from there for me. With that in mind, this film does actually look like it has the potential to be a decent action flick, so check it out here.
The Switch Trailer – Jason Bateman swaps out Jennifer Aniston’s artificial insemination swimmers. Check it out here.
Gaming:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution CG Trailer (360/PS3/PC) – The Deus Ex franchise is new to me, but this video will definitely help bring in new players to this RPG. Check it out here.
God of War III Chaos Launch Trailer (PS3) – So I am sad to say that I still haven’t played the first two games, but clearly I really need to get on that because this game looks amazing. AMAZING. Check it out here.
Limbo First Look (360) – The look of this platformer may make it appear simple enough, but it promises gameplay that is more challenging than first appearances, an amazing art style, and a deep story. Check out the article here and some gameplay images and concept art here.
Mass Effect 2: Kasumi’s Stolen Memory Downloadable Content 1st Impressions (360) – Following the free Firewalker DLC that’s coming out later this month, BioWare will be releasing another package for a price. But based on what this article says about it, it should be worth the fee. Check out the article here.
Metro 2033 Launch Trailer (360/PC) – If you are looking for a new FPS to play and you happen to love post-nuclear apocalyptic worlds then this new release might be something you need to check out. Watch the trailer here.
Splinter Cell: Conviction Demo (360) – For those of you who excitedly preordered this game already like I have I think it is safe to say that you can breathe a sigh of relief because this game is looking to be pretty good. The demo isn’t too long, but it is long enough to get a feel for the ease of the controls and the new mark and execute system, which is going to come in handy with the number of people they are putting in each room. My tip for you if you want to avoid getting shot like I did the first time: Scope out your environment before just moseying up to people from behind just to be safe, especially considering a bunch of them travel in pairs. (DON”T READ THE REST IF YOU WANNA FIGURE THINGS OUT ALL BY YOURSELF!) Try pulling people over ledges whenever possible, and when there are 3 people in a room mark the two standing together and then find a nice pole to drop from like batman onto the other. With the one down execute the others and you are golden (unless someone sees you through the door… oops…). Download the demo now on XBOX Live.
